Marathon Patent Group's Subsidiary, Selene Communication Technologies, LLC, Enters Into Settlement and License Agreement With Thomson Reuters Inc.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/03/15 -- Marathon Patent Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) ("Marathon"), a patent licensing company, announced today that on May 26, 2015, the company's subsidiary Selene Communication Technologies, LLC, ("Selene") entered into settlement and license agreement with Thomson Reuters Inc. The consideration to be paid by Thomson Reuters Inc. to Selene and all other terms of the license agreement are confidential.

Selene's U.S. patent assets include U.S. Patent Nos. 7,143,444 and 6,363,377.

The '377 Patent is currently being asserted against Reed Elsevier Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. The '444 Patent is currently being asserted against Fluke Electronics Corporation in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and Trend Micro Inc., in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
